Federal grant funds to assist in implementing the G.R.E.A.T. Program in your community
are offered annually by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). Each year, BJA issues
a competitive solicitation for grant applications. Only state, local, and tribal
jurisdictions or their respective law enforcement agencies—including school police,
housing authority police, prosecution, probation, and parole agencies—possessing
the power of arrest are eligible to receive G.R.E.A.T. grant awards.
